to Surf in Los Angeles Private or Group Surfing Lessons with Tommy Ostendorf in Manhattan Beach
Learn to surf at the nicest surfing beach in the South Bay. In fact, the sand at Manhattan Beach is so
nice that in the 1920's sand was removed from the beach, loaded onto railroad cars then loaded onto

Private and Group Surf Lessons are available year round. You will learn to surf and you will also
learn a little about the ocean, water safety and surfing etiquette. Rates start at $90 for 1.5 hours of instruction,
max 1:4 instructor to student ratio and include the use of a Soft Top surfboard and Billabong wetsuit.

If you haven't seen "Endless Summer", a Bruce Brown Film, do yourself a favor and pick
up a copy before your lesson. It is very entertaining and you can learn a little something about how to surf and the
surfing lifestyle.
Another good film is an instructional surfing video "The Art of Longboarding" made by a surfer
named Wingnut. Keep in mind, surfing is not as easy as he makes it look.
If you are like most of our students, you will want to make surfing
a part of your life. If that is the case we will be here to assist you with decisions regarding surf shops,
surfing apparel, new or used surfboard, wetsuits, rash guards etc… If you already know what you
